Scrap shredder sues Chicago for reneging on deal to fast-track opening on the heavily polluted Southeast Side

Mayor Lightfoot delayed a decision about a permit this month after the new U.S. EPA administrator raised concerns about locating another polluter in a neighborhood where people already breathe some of the city’s dirtiest air.
